Recently, the low headroom rotary drilling rig KR125ES of TYSIM participated in the section project of Nanjing South Station of Jiangsu South Yangtze Intercity Railway.
The Jiangsu South River Intercity Railway is a railway line under construction in Jiangsu Province, China. The Jiangsu South River Intercity Railway connects Nanjing City, Zhenjiang City, Changzhou City, Wuxi City, and Suzhou City in Jiangsu Province. It is an important part of the Intercity Railway Network in the “Medium and Long-term Railway Network Planning (2016-2030)” and the Yangtze River Delta City Group the backbone line of the intercity rail transit network in the core area, the second intercity railway of the Shanghai-Nanjing Corridor, and the auxiliary passenger transportation channel of the Shanghai-Nanjing Corridor. As of October 2020, the Jiangsu Intercity Railway along the Yangtze River starts at Nanjing South Railway Station and ends at Taicang Railway Station and then uses the Shanghai-Sutong Railway to enter the Shanghai hub. The main line is 278.53 kilometers long. There are 9 stations in total. The maximum design speed is 350 km/h.
The construction site of this project is close to the high-speed railway. It is required not to affect the high-speed trains in operation. At the same time, it is required that there should be no foundation settlement during the drilling process of the rotary drilling rig, which makes the construction difficult.
